Accommodation
You will be staying in our very
own barn cottages. The granite built Victorian barns
surround a cobbled courtyard and is part of Blackadon Farm.
Outstanding views are enjoyed over the undulating
countryside of the South Hams area of South Devon and the
Erme Estuary to the sea. Blackadon is an ideal retreat for
walkers, birdwatchers and those who just enjoy the great
outdoors.
The accommodation is to a high
standard (equal to 4+ stars in any grading system). You will
stay in either twin or double rooms all have either a shower
W.C & basin. The spacious dining room easily accommodates
sixteen. The comfortable lounge provides an excellent
environment to relax after your days walk enjoying home made
fruit cake and a cup of tea.
Discuss the
day’s events after a substantial home cooked evening meal
while enjoying your coffee. Coffee and tea are available at
all times. The cottages have fridges which have ample room
for your own refreshments. You have access to televisions
and videos/DVD players and CD / cassette / radio stereo
systems. If there is the need to dry any walking gear there
is an area for boots and hanging of clothing. A washing
machine and tumble dryer are in the same area.
We have recently added a sauna
suite which is available for our guests use at a small
charge.
